Some sound advice...

  • Think ahead: No matter what shape your kitchen is, you should plan for the sink, fridge and cooker to form a triangle, with no more than 6 feet between each for ease of movement."
  • Storage space: Most people don't allow enough space for storage. Use every nook and cranny. Put cupboards right up to the ceiling, this will remove the gap that collects dust. Why not use large drawers for easier access to pots and pans? Include enough storage for appliances that otherwise would clutter up countertops.
  • Power points: Be sure there are appropriate power points for existing or new appliances. We will measure appliances to ensure that they fit comfortably into allocated spaces, This ensures that you won't have kinks in pipes that could cause filling or drainage issues.
  • Safety: Make sure that your kitchen is as safe and family-friendly as possible by planning for good visibility to garden and indoor play areas from the cooking area. Rounded countertops, slip-resistant flooring and ovens located at adult height are all beneficial in making kitchen safer.
